THERMOFORMING
The thermoforming process applies heat in a controlled environment
to a commodity or custom engineered plastic sheet. Using vacuum,
the softened and pliable plastic sheet material is drawn over
a mold, cooled then released. The thermoforming process is ideally
suited for prototyping, low to mid-range production or higher
volume applications using multi-cavity molds and semi or fully
automated forming and trimming equipment.
